| Description |
English: Major-General Lewis Wharton MacKenzie, UE, CM, CMM, MSC, O.Ont, CD (born April 30, 1940) is a retired Canadian general, author and media commentator. MacKenzie is most famous for establishing and commanding Sector Sarajevo as part of the United Nations Protection Force UNPROFOR in Yugoslavia in 1992. From March 14 to 17, 2007, 130 university and college students from across Canada gathered at the Canadian War Museum to participate in the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre's Model Mission in Fontinalis. The exercise takes students through the processes required by governments and NGOs to tackle the various situations they will encounter during conflict and crisis management in trouble spots around the world. |
