Représentation schématique des différents types d'interaction entre les protéines membranaires monotopiques et la membrane cellulaire:
- interaction par une hélices α amphipathique parallèle au plan de la membrane;
- interaction par un boucle hydrophobe;
- interaction par liaison covalent avec un lipide membranaire (lipidation);
- interaction par liaison electrostatique directe ou indirecte (p.ex. via un ion calcium) avec les lipides membranaires;
la membrane est représentée en brun clair.
