| Description |
English: Montgomery Castle The remains of the castle, seen from near Montgomery church. It was begun in 1223 during the reign of Henry III by Roger, Seigneur of Montgomerie, on a narrow ridge overlooking the town. The castle was demolished in 1649 by order of parliament after the Civil War. |
