La Ville de Montpellier, en partenariat avec l’association Les Amis du Musée Fabre , a choisi de présenter au Carré Sainte Anne neuf artistes sétois : Olivier BARTOLETTI, Claudie DADU, Jean DENANT, Elisa « Lili » FANTOZZI, Frédéric PERIMON, Agnès ROSSE, Pierre TILMAN et le collectif MICROCLIMAX composé de deux artistes. Ces plasticiens revisitent différents aspects de l’activité humaine : les loisirs, le travail ou encore des thèmes tel que l’environnement. Ils se positionnent par rapport au réel et aux enjeux socio-économiques de l’univers de la consommation.

Au travers de l’exposition « Sète : état des lieux, dans quel monde vivons-nous ?», la commission d’art contemporain de l’association Les Amis du Musée Fabre poursuit son objectif de présenter des œuvres témoignant d’un engagement, d’une recherche exigeante, mais aussi de maintenir un lien vivant entre le musée Fabre et la création contemporaine.
