| Description |
English: Mupe Bay. Looking down into Mupe Bay with its sweeping beach and still blue waters. The beach is open when the Lulworth Range walks are open to the public, but even then it is fairly deserted because it is remote from public car parks. An alternative way to get there is by boat - one expensive-looking vessel can be seen in the bay, about to drop anchor. On the northern side of the bay are the crumbling chalk cliffs at the eastern end of Bindon Hill, with fresh white chalk exposed by recent falls onto the beach. The gap on the right is Arish Mell, the geographical start of the Isle of Purbeck. Flower's Barrow hillfort is on the summit of Rings Hill on the far right, also slowly falling into the sea below. |
