המחצבה הישנה של נשר מפעלי מלט ישראליים נפתחה בשנת 1925 ונסגרה בשנת 1942 לאחר שמקורות אבן הסיד התדלדלו. המחצבה עברה שיקום המשך השנים. בטח המחצבה מספר בארות ששימשו את בית החרושת ואת היישוב נשר בשנותיו הראשונות
