Description Das Neue Palais ist ein Schloss an der Westseite des Parks Sanssouci in Potsdam. Der Bau wurde 1763 nach Beendigung des Siebenjährigen Krieges unter Friedrich dem Großen begonnen und bereits 1769 fertiggestellt. Es gilt als letzte bedeutende Schlossanlage des preußischen Barocks. Friedrich plante es nicht als Residenz für sich - als solche diente es erst im Deutschen Kaiserreich (1871-1918) -, sondern als Schloss für Gäste seines Hofes.
