Notes View from the balcony at Ekholmsnäs gård across Kyrkviken towards Gråviken at Lidingö. Models; Prince Eugén, Duke of Närke & singer Karin Pyk, close friends to Richard Bergh. The two persons was painted at different occations; Karin Pyk in Assisi, Italy and Prince Eugén at Ekholmsnäs when he visited Ekholmsnäs during the time Bergh worked with the painting. The two pelars in the painting was actually the pelars on the ground floor that supported the balcony but was used by Bergh to get a better composition.
