Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Northallerton Railway Station A bare skeleton of the former glorious station. Now only two platforms for north and south bound trains. Forty years ago (when I were a lad) it had five platforms: one for the York main line, one for the Harrogate branch line, one for the Hawes branch line, and two for north bound trains allowing fast trains to overtake a stopping train. On the southbound platform there was a restaurant and a W.H. Smiths stall (from where I started my newspaper round). |
