Summary[edit]

Description
English: The West Somerset Railway runs passenger trains to Norton Fitwarren during gala weekends. The normal procedure is for the locomotive from the preceding service to run 'light' from Bishops Lydeard to Norton Fitzwarren and then wait there after turning. The passenger train follows an hour later and the first locomotive backs onto the rear and heads back down the line while the second locomotive turns and then follows it 'light' as far as Bishops Lydeard. On this occasion it didn't work as the trains had been advertised as both being hauled by Bullied 'Pacifics' but one had broken down. 34007 Wadebridge instead hauled both trains which meant using the little-used access to the triangle at Barnstaple Junction (around the curve to the left of this view) before running around the train. This view shows the work completed and it is now coupling up to its train which will have to leave a few minutes late.
