Description
Italiano: Ossario Commemorativo dei Caduti Jugoslavi, costruito nel cimitero di Barletta alla fine degli anni sessanta su iniziativa del Sindaco Michele Morelli ed inaugurato il 4 luglio 1970. Progettato dallo scultore Dušan Džamonja, Custodisce i resti di 825 morti e di altri 463 combattenti dei quali non erano state reperite le spoglie, per un totale di 1288 caduti jugoslavi. Di grande impatto è l'apertura circolare nel pavimento della sala principale, rivestito da un mosaico di colore rosso vivo per simboleggiare il sangue versato dai combattenti jugoslavi in occasione della resistenza antifascista e antinazista italiana.
