Summary[edit]

Description
English: Paco Park[1] A serious cholera outbreak in 1820 led to the need for a municipal cemetery in Paco then known as San Fernando de Dilao. Paco Park is a 4,114.80 square meter recreational garden area and was once Manila’s municipal cemetery during the Spanish colonial period. It is located along General Luna St. and at the east end of Padre Faura Street in Paco district in the City of Manila, the Philippines. Paco Park was where the remains of Philippine National Hero, Jose P. Rizal, was interred after his execution on December 30, 1896. His body rested here from 1896 to 1912. His remains were then moved to its current location at Rizal Park.[2] Coordinates: 14°34'52"N 120°59'19"E Paco's Saint Pancratius Chapel, a small circular chapel, it the site of many quiet weddings.
