Summary[edit]

Description

A floss silk tree, Ceiba spp. (Ceiba speciosa, Ceiba chodattii), known in Spanish as palo borracho ("drunken trunk"). The fruits (10 cm pods) are clearly visible hanging from the branches. The bark is covered with small prickles.
