English: Parliament Hall The Hall is 123 feet long,42 feet wide and 40 feet high. It was built in 1637-39 as the hall of the Scottish Parliament.The hammer-beam roof is constructed of Baltic oak.
This is where the Scottish Parliament debated the Treaty of Union and is now in use by lawyers and their clients appearing in the courts who now use the buildings. The Great Window dominates the south wall. |
