Summary[edit]

Description The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts building at Broad and Cherry Streets in the Center City area of Philadelphia was built from 1872-1876 and was designed by Frank Furness and George Hewitt in a combination of historical styles. It was restored in 1976, and is a National Historic Landmark. (Source: Philadelphia Architecture: A Guide to the City) This image shows a detail of the north side of the building, along the Cherry Street walkway.
