Description

En el marco de la Cumbre APEC 2013, la Canciller Eda Rivas y su homólogo de Vietnam, Pham Binh Minh, suscribieron un Memorándum de Entendimiento y Cooperación a nivel de Presidencias de APEC. Como se conoce, el Perú asumirá la Presidencia de APEC en el año 2016 y se espera contar con el apoyo de todos los miembros a fin de concretar una agenda exitosa encaminada a alcanzar un mayor crecimiento económico y fortalecer la cooperación regional.

Para lograr estos objetivos el Perú ha planteado, entre otras iniciativas, un Plan Multianual de Conectividad hasta el 2020. Al ser Perú (2016) y Vietnam (2017) sedes consecutivas del Foro APEC, se espera incrementar la vinculación y cooperación entre ambos paises, especialmente en materia de conectividad y en otras acciones afines.
