Description
Español: Ley N°19 de 9 de octubre de 1984, Gaceta Oficial N°20,167, modificada por la Ley N°17 de 2002. Nancito se encuentra ubicado en el Distrito de Remedios en la Provincia de Chiriquí, República de Panamá. Pueblo habitado por caciques triviales, reyes y nobleza. Su conjunto monumental de sitio de “Petroglifos” o “Piedras Pintadas” fue declarado por Ley 19 del 9 de Octubre de 1984 como monumento histórico pre- colombino. Este sitio fue paso obligado de muchas culturas. El pueblo de Nancito llamado por los antiguos pobladores Ngöbe Buglé como “Nacy Migábidi” en honor a los cinco cerros que lo rodean, pues; el arte rupestre no solo refleja en sus grabados el paisaje del entorno donde se encuentran ubicados, sino que forman parte del mismo paisaje (cogness 2003). Nancito se encuentra a unos 510 metros sobre el nivel del mar, rodeados por aproximadamente 8 kms de extensión limitando: Al norte se encuentra la cordillera Central, al Sur el Océano Pacífico, al Este el imponente Cerro Viejo y al Oeste el Volcán Barú....
