Notes
  • Significance: Morrill Hall is significant as an early major campus building in which the scope and quality of professional architectural services and of the work of the general contractor were essentially what they are today for such buildings. The efficiency with which these services were performed was in sharp contrast with the great difficulties which had been experienced in the construction of the College Building of some twenty-five years earlier. In architectural style the building is eclectic in its mixture of Romanesque arches and rock-faced stonework with architectural elements of the so-called Queen Anne style.
