Pietermaritzburg, Church Street - From the main exit of the Railway Station, overlooking the city, a view down the length of Church Street is obtained. As many of the buildings in the immediate vicinity of the station date from the earliest days of Pietermaritzburg, they do not strike the eye pleasingly; but further down the street, in the business portion of the city, there are numerous fine and lofty structures.
