UK Journal Day 18 (Travel Diary Day 56)

I got a flat tire. One week of having a car and there’s already problems. I took the car to the garage and the guy said he couldn’t find a puncture. I think that’s a bad sign. I don’t know why that’s a bad sign but it seems like the right thing to say.

It’s Rachel’s first hen party night tonight. It’s a girls’ night at her friend’s house, and then they’ll set off to Edinburgh tomorrow for a night in Scotland.

They think it’s their time to party, but really it’s a time for the blokes to stretch their legs a bit. We can do anything this weekend, we’re completely free. We haven’t got anything planned though, so we’ll probably do nothing. We have the option though, that’s what is important.

Today’s Photo – A pink sunset on Shields

I took this photo a couple a couple of days ago. I thought I was about to finally play with my new 10 stop ND filter. My enthusiasm died when I realised I didn’t have my remote. I was livid. For an ND of this type it’s almost essential to have it on Bulb mode. 30 seconds just doesn’t cover it.

I had to take this with ISO 1600, shutter speed 30 seconds, and f/4. It still came out too dark. Thank the gods for RAW and Lightroom.
