Bem, Józef Zachariasz, General, 1794 Tarnów, Poland - 1850 Aleppo, Ottoman Empire (now Syria) 2 lines left of portrait: "JÓZEF BEM 1794 1850"/ Cannon facing l. below Polish Eagle, 2 lines curved below r.: "1 WARSZAWSKA BRYGADA ARTYLERII ARMAT". This brigade was formed 1943 in WW2 with Bem as patron. Medallist: J. (Jósef) Misztela, Sculptor Condition: Uncirculated MS 65, little tarnish on the reverse. |
