Description

Poros grave stele (570-560 BC) The deceased holds a staff and a sword. Most of the surface coating of stucco is lost. The surviving traces of paint suggest that the figure was red, with brown hair, against a blue background. The border was also red. Found to the west of the Tritopatreion. Kerameikos, Ancient Graveyard, Athens, Greece --- Επιτύμβια στήλη από πωρόλιθο. Ο νεκρός φέρει ραβδί και ξίφος. Αρχικά η στήλη καλυπτόταν από κονίαμα, σήμερα απολεπισμένο. Από τα σωζόμενα ίχνη χρωμάτων φαίνεται ότι η μορφή ήταν ερυθρή με καστανή κόμμωση σε κυανό βάθος. Το πλαίσιο ήταν επίσης ερυθρό. 570-560 π.Χ. Βρέθηκε δυτικά του Τριτοπατρείου.
