Summary[edit]

Description
English: Porth-y-Nant before restoration In the 1980s the derelict quarrying village of Porth-y-Nant was restored to become the Nant Gwrtheyrn Welsh Language Centre. This photograph, taken in 1983, shows the dereliction. The first signs of restoration can be seen: the scaffolding on the chapel and the new window frames in the house at the right end of the terrace.
