Description
English: Element of a bended beam: the neutral fiber is an arc of circle (radius ρ, angle dθ). As the sections stay perpendicular to the neutral fiber, the upper fibers (y > 0) are compressed and the lower fibers (y < 0) are extended.
Français : Élément d'une poutre fléchie : la fibre neutre est un arc de cercle (rayon ρ, angle dθ). Comme les sections restent perpendiculaires à la fibre neutre, les fibres du haut (y > 0) sont comprimées et les fibres du bas (y < 0) sont étirées.
