Summary[edit]

Description
English: Mesa and Moose successfully made it to the 14,058-foot (4,285 m) Handies Peak. It was cloudy and was barely snowing and raining up there by the time we made it to the top. At the end of our 8-mile (13 km) round trip trek, the dogs' feet were so sore that they could hardly jump down from their crates in the truck to eat dinner! Of course, they probably went two or three times longer than us, since they were running up and down the sides of the mountain, chasing chipmunks, pikas and marmots, July, 2009
