Originally G-BZAY with British Airways, this RJ was added to the military register in October 2012 following its acquisition by QinetiQ for the Empire Test Pilots School at Boscombe Down, with whom it is used for training test pilots and flight test engineers to support the entry into service of military aircraft and systems. | |||
