Summary[edit]

Description
English: Intravital time-lapse images of a bead-positive monocyte interacting with the endothelium of an atherosclerotic plaque. A stationary bead-positive monocyte (green) was seen interacting with the endothelium of an atherosclerotic plaque. Bead-positive monocytes that are circulating though the aorta may appear as lines when their flow is synchronized with the raster scan of the microscope. Artifacts due to motions of the mouse, such as respiration, can be seen. Data were acquired with 800 nm excitation light. Emission was collected from 490 to 530 nm for 53 sec.
