The above countries and territories are free from urban and sylvatic rabies by international consensus. Bat rabies occurs in all countries except New Zealand. Countries marked with an asterisk (*) have had described cases of bat rabies occurring in non-bat species.

Les pays et territoires énumérés en haut sont libres de rage sylvatique et urbaine par consensus international. La rage des chauve-souris est présente dans tous les pays à part la Nouvelle-Zélande. Les pays marqués par un astérisque (*) ont des cas documentés de rage des chauve-souris dans d'autres espèces.

Die obigen Länder und Territorien sind gemäss internationalem Konsens frei von silvatischer und urbaner Tollwut. Fledermaustollwut kommt mit Ausnahme von Neuseeland in allen Ländern vor. In den mit einem Stern (*) markierten Ländern sind Fälle von Fledermaustollwut bei anderen Spezies beschrieben.
