Italiano: Costa d'Avorio. Statua Mossi (Moose).
Description
Italiano: STATUA - Figura antropomorfa femminile in posizione eretta, con ampia acconciatura a cresta, scarificazioni su volto, busto e ventre; seni e ombelico in mostra. Braccia che scendono discoste dal busto, gambe leggermente flesse. L'acconciatura a cresta (gyonfo) è tipicamente femminile. Le statue sono legate al potere secolare (quello del monarca e di capi di rango inferiori) dei Moose (Mossi) che si sono imposti nel XV- XVI secolo alle popolazioni locali la cui identità si gioca invece intorno all'uso di maschere rituali in contesto religioso (presenti per altro anche fra i Moose in conseguenza probabilemente, della prolungata coabitazione ).
