Summary[edit]

Description
English: Remains of Short Street in Derby (off Friar Gate) This is all that remains of Short Street - which used to run from Friar Gate to Agard Street. The street was demolished in 1876 when the Friar Gate station and the famous Handyside bridge were built. The remains of the street were used as a tram depot connected with the station - the tramlines remain visible. The land is now used as a car park.
