Français : Pour l'original: vers 1475 le roi René d'Anjou fait exécuter ce retable par Nicolas Froment pour surmonter le maître-autel d’une chapelle de l'église des Grands-Carmes d'Aix-en-Provence. A la Révolution devient bien national. A partir de 1803 installé dans la cathédrale.
