Description
English: Diagram of a resonant cavity magnetron with captions in Russian
Français : Diagramme d'un magnétron à cavités. La cathode est chauffée par un filament, ce qui émet des électrons. Ceux-ci se dirigent vers l'anode mais sont déviés par un champ magnétique perpendiculaire à leur trajectoire. Ils parcourent un trajet circulaire dans l'espace entre la cathode et l'anode et induisent ainsi un courant alternatif dans les cavités résonantes. Finalement, ce courant crée une onde électromagnétique qui est captée par une sonde.
