103 x 83,5 x 3,5 1978 Durant la dècada de 1970, Cardona Torrandell recupera de nou un cicle que ja havia realitzat entre 1966 i 1968: els retrats imaginaris. Retrats que ocupen pràcticament tot el quadre, i que a diferència d’aquell primer cicle de les Testes (1958) són plens de color. En aquest cas, però l’artista utilitza una paleta reduïda, amb tons ocres i blaus. El rostre situat a l’extrem dret es troba emmarcat pel vestit i el capell, amb els que sembla fondre’s a nivell cromàtic. Cardona Torrandell construeix aquest retrat imaginari a partir de la línia, del dibuix sobre un fons preparat amb anterioritat, tal i com succeeix en la majoria dels seus quadres. En este caso, el artista utiliza una paleta reducida, con tonos ocres y azules. El rostro situado en el extremo derecho se encuentra enmarcado por el vestido y el cabello, con los que parece fundirse a nivel cromático. Cardona Torrandell construye este retrato imaginario a partir de la linea, del dibujo sobre un fondo preparado con anterioridad, tal y como sucede en la mayoría de sus cuadros. |
