Ottawa, Canada: The Rideau Canal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site on June 29, 2007. It is the best preserved canal in North America from the great canal-building era of the early 19th century to remain operational along its original line with most of its original structures intact.

When viewed very large, there is a small vertical shift due to accidental camera motion that went unnoticed until post-processing : This 'defect' seems to have had the benefit of preventing 'burn-in', i.e when a small and bright high dynamic range light source saturates the CCD pixels to white during long exposures. Hence the colors of the very small point-like lights remained distinguishable. I suppose its a 'happy accident' however next time I will take multiple exposures and synthesize an HDR.
