Description	English: In early March of 1904, a fire in Rossland, British Columbia department store "Empey Brothers" led to some passers-by dragging a wax dummy out into the snow. When mayor John Dean arrived on the scene, he mistook the dummy for a person, and attempted to question it about the fire. The dummy fell over on its face, and Dean — thinking that it was drunk — summoned law enforcement to arrest it; by the time an officer arrived, another witness — thinking that the dummy had died of a heart attack — had summoned an undertaker.
