Saari was joined to Parikkala in 2005 together with Uukuniemi. Blazon: Suomi: Sinisessä kentässä hopeinen varreton puulapio kärki alaspäin. Saatteena lakioittain kolme hopeista apilanlehteä.
English: On blue field a silvery shankless wooden shovel head downwards. Accompanied by three silvery trifoils fesswise in chief.
