Description

Il 26 luglio, recentemente la festa è stata spostata alla domenica successiva, a San Mango sul Calore parte dalla sede del municipio un corteo di cavalieri, preceduti dal Sindaco, vestiti con costumi d'epoca. Il corteo raggiunge la chiesetta di San Vincenzo o "del Cemeterio" e da qui, prosegue per tutte le strade del paese lanciando confetti e bomboniere. Il corteo raggiunge poi la chiesetta rurale di Sant'Anna. Qui per tre volte i cavalieri girano intorno all'edificio e passano nella chiesa sempre lanciando confetti. I confetti sono considerati apportatori di fertilità e miracolosi per la salute delle donne che si prodigano per raccoglierli da terra e conservarli.
