English: Video about ligthining storms on Saturn Français : Capturing Saturn's Flashdance. Lightning Storms est une vidéo produite par la NASA qui explique comment des scientifiques sont parvenus à prouver l'existence d'éclairs sur Saturne. Des scientifiques discutent de certains bruits enregistrés et transmis par la sonde spatiale Cassini-Huygens alors qu'elle passait près de Saturne. Ils ont fait l'hypothèse que ces bruits étaient causés par des éclairs, mais personne n'avait jamais détecté de tels éclairs sur Saturne, car c'est une planète qui réflète une importante quantité de lumière. Ils ont profité d'une certaine position de la planète pour faire prendre des photos de sa surface. Par la suite, ils sont parvenus à faire correspondre les bruits aux éclairs. Ces éclairs sont en moyenne aussi puissants que ceux de la Terre, mais sont moins fréquents. |
