'If you are having problems viewing SVG images please click here http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sauroposeidon_Scale_Diagram_Steveoc86.svg and below the image are PNG versions. • Sauroposeidon is a fragmentry brachiosaur known only from 4 neck vertebra (neck vertebra 5-8). The vertebra are notable for being very long (the largest one is 1.4 m in length). The neck is estimated between 11.25–12 m. If the neck could be held verticallly it might have been able to reach 17 or 18 m in height. Due to Sauroposeidon's incomplete/fragmentry status its body proportions may change if more is discovered. This image is to give an idea of it's hypothosized size according to Matt Wedel who described the genus.]]"^[1] ^[2] • The silhouette of Sauroposeidon is based proportionally on a skeletal reconstruction by Matt Wedal (2005:Figure 15).^[1] It was then modified to have a straighter back as seen in 2009 Brachiosaurus\Giraffatitan brancai skeletal reconstuction by Gregory s Paul (Shown in ^[3] ) and an unpublished one by Scott Hartman, seen here: [1]. The Verbebra are based on photographs and drawings in Wedal 2005 (Figure 9).^[1] • The human is scaled to 1.80m. • Each grid segment represents 1 square meter.
