Description |
English: Statue of Rames, who was scribe of the community of artisans who built the royal tombs under the reign of Rameses II. Rames' shoulders bear the hieroglyphic cartouches of Pharaohs Rameses II (d. 1213 BC), Thutmose IV (d. 1391 BC) and Horemheb (d. 1292). Painted limestone, New Kingdom Period, found in Deir al-Madinah.
