English: A sketch of prototype fabrication drawing for a 4 foot all-steel mini ramp. It is all welded construction of structural steel.
This ramp is designed to meet the following requirements: - The major sections can be fabricated in a welding shop (instead of welded at site). - The sections can be transported via standard (non wide-load) flat bed trailer. - The sections can be set at site by a forklift (instead of a crane). Once the sections are set, they will require final fit-up welding at site. Such a ramp is suited for a municipal skateboard park. The prototype is for a 4' mini ramp with deck. Each section is 8' wide and has one transition. Four such sections, welded together, would make a 16' wide mini ramp with 10' flat-bottom. The prototype drawing could be modified to make a spine ramp or to add bowl corners. The prototype could also be modified to make a taller mini ramp or vert ramp. E-mail: autox5011-ramp@yahoo.com |
