| Description |
English: Smitham station The new station building on the Down side at Smitham is now complete and opened about a week ago, although contractors have not quite finished removing their bis and pieces. There is a pleasant and helpful lady booking clerk to sell you tickets and assist with your travel. Regrettably the station name is soon going to change, from Smitham (for Coulsdon) [it only acquired the suffix recently] to Coulsdon Town. The other open station in Coulsdon is Coulsdon South, which has retained its suffix, even after the closure of Coulsdon North in 1983. |
