Description
English: The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service (FS) Information Center is housed in the Sidney Yates Building near the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. The center is patterned after the Rudy Wendelin painting “Smokey’s Fan Mail.” Wendelin, who lived in Arlington, Va., also designed the 1984 Smokey Bear postage stamp and the 1948 Forest Conservation stamp.
