Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Snell's window (or some optical installation which emulates it) shows 180-degree air view compressed into roughly 100 degrees, surrounded by a reflection of the pool bottom due to total internal reflection. Although it is possible that this photo represents a genuine refraction on the water–air divide, that divide is not a swimming pool surface as the photo apparently suggests; see talk page for details.
