Summary[edit]

Description
English: South Ferriby cement plant This plant was opened by Eastwood's Ltd. in 1938 with a single wet process kiln. Eastwood's was absorbed into the Rugby group in 1962. Kiln 2, using the Lepol process, was commissioned in 1967, and was Rugby's first energy-efficient kiln. Kiln 3, also Lepol, was commissioned in 1978. The plant is now owned by Cemex. Currently (2009) only one kiln is operating.
