Summary[edit]

Description
English: Southern Vectis 301 Chilton Chine (HW54 BTU), a Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer MPD, in Newport bus station, Isle of Wight on route 1. The photo was taken shortly after heavy snowfall in January 2010 meaning buses could only travel to Four Cross, Northwood then Three Gates Road, to return to Newport bus station, leaving out central Cowes, which is why just "Cowes" was displayed. When conditions improved, at some times buses could travel as far and Newport Road, and then back via Mill Hill Road. Southern Vectis already had a selection of ultimate destination only displays programmed into the buses' LED screens, which became very useful during the disruption in the snow.
