Summary[edit]

Description
English: St Helen's Church. This seaside church, with its holy well, are in the townland of Kilrane suggesting there might be a pre-Norman foundation as "Cill" was the Gaelic for church. The Crusader Normans brought the devotion of St Helen to Ireland. The graveyard was associated with the burial of sailors who died in shipwrecks.
