Summary[edit]
DescriptionSt Levan's stone and cross - geograph.org.uk - 933636.jpg |
English: Part of the parish churchyard at St Levan, Cornwall. On the left is the split granite boulder called St Levan's stone; on the right in the foreground is the top of a 7-foot granite cross. The saintly legend of the rock is that St Levan struck the rock with his staff, splitting it in two. The crack is only just wide enough for a human to walk through. St Levan prophesied that when a pack horse with panniers astride could walk through the crack, the World would "be done". |
