Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stagecoach in Devon bus 15329 John Hayes (reg. J829 HMC), a 1991 Scania N113DRB double-decker with Alexander RH bodywork.

It's route blind is set to number 200 - the Totness to Paignton service which uses open-toppers in the summer season. It's destination is set to 'not in service' however, as it's pictured here some way further down the coast in Plymouth's Royal Parade, because it was attending a bus rally being held at Plymouth Hoe that day.

It was new to London Buses as their fleet no. S29. Inherited by Stagecoach London, it was one of the batch of 8 such vehicles that were subsequently transferred to Devon for conversion for use as open top buses. Each of them was also named after a British sailor, which is a long standing practice for open top buses operating in Torbay.
