English: Campbell family gathering outside Ballimore House, Kelvin Grove, 1889
Ballimore House (Ballymore) was built by John Petrie (?) for James Campbell and family between 1875-1885. It occupied land in the vicinity of Bally and More Streets, Kelvin Grove. The estate covered a portion of land between Dunsmore Street and Breakfast Creek. It included a swamp area where the present Ballymore football field stands. The area has always been known in official documents i.e. the P.M.G. Register, as Ballymore. However the same register has James Campbell as the occupant of Ballimore up until his death in the early 1900s. This photograph represents only a small portion of James and Isabella Campbell's family. There are another three sons and a large number of children not included. Henderson), Isabella Gertrude Campbell (Mrs R. Kennedy), Walter Campbell, Charles Philp, Jessie Blanche Philp (Mrs Robert Henderson), Mrs James Campbell Senior. Middle Row: ? Picot (Neighbours of the Campbell family. There is a Picot Street in Kelvin Grove, possibly named after this family), Mrs J. M. Campbell (nee Ethel Norris Vidgen), Isabella Anne Campbell (Mrs W.
